About Us

Indoor Cricket Federation Queensland

The Indoor Cricket Federation of Queensland (ICFQ) is a not-for-profit organisation that oversees all aspects of indoor cricket in Queensland — from junior development and grassroots growth through to elite representative programs, including the selection and support of Queensland State teams at National Championships.

As the governing body for indoor cricket in Queensland, ICFQ works closely with affiliated centres, coaches, players, and volunteers to ensure the sport continues to thrive at every level across the state.

Our History

The Indoor Cricket Federation Queensland (ICFQ) was established to govern and promote the sport of indoor cricket across Queensland. Over the decades, ICFQ has grown from a small association into the state's peak body for indoor cricket, overseeing competitions at local, state, national, and international levels.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote participation, develop pathways for players of all ages, and foster a competitive environment that produces champions at state, national, and international levels. We are committed to the growth of indoor cricket throughout Queensland and to supporting our member centres, players, coaches, and officials.

Our Events

Every year ICFQ is responsible for administering several major events which form the pathway from local competition through to State team selection and National Championships.

SEQ Major League

Played from March to August each year, the SEQ Major League features competition across 12 grades between 6 competing centres. It is the premier weekly indoor cricket competition in South-East Queensland.

Zones Tournaments

Queensland Zones tournaments are the cornerstone for senior selection into State teams to compete at National Championships each year. Players represent their regional zone in a tournament format. In 2026 Qld Open, 22's and Ladies 30's teams will compete in a new Franchise format over two days.

Junior State Titles

Junior teams representing their centres compete over 4 or 5 days in a round robin tournament to become State Champions. The event also serves as the pathway to Junior Development Camp and State selection.

Junior Development Camp

Held over 3 days in January each year, the Junior Development Camp brings together invited players for skill development, coaching, and State team selection.

State Teams

Once State teams are selected, ICFQ manages all logistics including uniforms, accommodation, ground transport, sports trainers and the full range of requirements to ensure our representative teams are well-prepared and professionally supported at National Championships.
